Jace Elliott is a professional violinist active throughout the Southern California area, maintaining a large private studio in Beaumont, California as well as a busy performance schedule. As a freelance musician, he frequently appears in venues across the Inland Empire in his capacity as a solo, chamber, and orchestral player on both violin and viola. He regularly serves as a substitute violist for the San Bernardino and Redlands Symphony Orchestras. Aside from his regular teaching schedule, Jace has also acted as both a solo and chamber coach to players at a variety of levels.
Prior to his entry into college, Jace studied the violin with Laura Evans. Beginning at the Montecito International Music Festival in 2018 and continuing through his undergraduate degree at the University of Redlands, Jace's primary instructor was Samuel Fischer. While at Redlands, he also studied the viola with Kira Blumberg and received extensive chamber and orchestral instruction from Co Nguyen. In his final year of his BM degree, Jace won the University's concerto competition. Jace has had the privilege to play in masterclasses presented by Peter Zazofsky of the New England Conservatory, as well as Lawrence Dutton and by Philip Setzer of the Emerson String Quartet. As a student and as a professional, Jace has enjoyed working with Jorge Luis Uzcátegui, Dr. Sakura Tsai, Jingyu Lou, Kyle Champion, and a countless number of other great musicians.
